Budget laptop = good quality?
For a student, laptops are super expensive but an absolute need if you are University if you ask me.
Its my last semester at University and unfortunately my Asus laptop is starting to come to the end of its days. Looking for a good laptop under $500 in New Zealand is difficult, that’s why I decided to go second-hand. I researched around and came to the conclusion that I want another ThinkPad like I had when I was little. ThinkPad’s from the T and X series are virtually indestructible with in my personal experience seem to last forever. In New Zealand I would look for a T470, T480, T490, X280 or X290 as good second hand options. My T470 is amazing super thin and relatively light. It has thunderbolt 3, an SD card reader, a removeable battery and a few other features that you miss out on other laptop brands. Honestly I this laptop is still for me super-fast and I don’t use it for anything too intensive, it just gets the job done well. It seems reliable and I will be using for the long future at least three years or more. The laptop to me just feels right. Productivity to the max and it’s amazing for upgrading because that’s the type of person I am. I couldn’t have asked for a better laptop at the moment for the price. 🙂
