AMD Ryzen 7 5700X3D Benchmark?

I have 17 games to benchmark and 3 synthetic CPU tests. These games will be tested at 1080p and 1440p, with cost and overall comparisons at the end.
I will compare 1080p v 1440p on the Ryzen 7 5700X3D and the Ryzen 5 5600.
Settings:
- CPU and GPU are stock, with no overclock.
- Games tested in Fullscreen.
- Vsync is off.
- Nvidia Low Latency is Off.
- Frame rate uncapped.
- Ray Tracing is Off.
- REBar is Off.
- Nvidia Driver Tested on: 566.14.
- Latest Windows 10 Update 22H2.
- All Games are Benchmarked on a 3-game Average.

AIO: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 360mm
GPU: Zotac RTX 3070 Twin Edge LHR 8GB – Stock
SSD: Samsung 860 Evo 500GB (OS), Samsung 870 Evo 1TB(Games)
Ram: 32GB (4x 8gb) Patriot Viper CL18 DDR4 4000 (CL19-19-19-39)
Ram Cooler: Jonsbo NF-1 (Only used with Patriot Viper Kit)
Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Master B550 PSU: Corsair RM750x Gold 750w
Case: Corsair 5000D Airflow
Power supply: Corsair RMx750 750W (Gold)

All of the categories here except the Newegg pricing include New Zealand GST Goods and Services Tax which is 15% this is known as VAT overseas. One of the three AliExpress Listings had a small shipping price and one of the New Zealand retailers that I included is currently out of stock.
All exchange rates were taken on 19 January 2025.
The USD pricing is in blue on the left and the NZD pricing is in orange on the right.
You can see that from the time I bought at $135USD in November 2024 the price has increased to $210 which is an increase of $75USD from the top three listings sorted by sales on AliExpress. Mind you AliExpress is not having a sale at the moment.
You can see the New Zealand retailers are the most expensive at $240USD which is $15USD more than the Newegg listing and $105USD more than the price I paid. You can clearly see why I purchased mine off AliExpress instead of my own country.

At more than $195USD or $350NZD currently for the 5700X3D I might question why you wouldn’t pick the 7500f or the 7600 as they are both in a similar price category. Ill give some more insight of this in my final thoughts.
Next is cost per frame data on a 17 game average in $USD.
Its honestly pretty good that we got $1.51USD at 1440p and $1.09 at 1080p. At 1080p that is $0.61 cheaper per frame that the current aliexpress pricing and $0.84 cheaper than the NZ Retailers.
As you can see here it really depends on how cheap you can get this CPU to see if its worth it for gaming. Mind you this is only frame data based on my RTX 3070 only but I think this gives a good indication.
Lets head on to my final thoughts.
Some Final Thoughts:
- In short, if you buy it AliExpress you should get a good deal even in terms of reselling.
- If you buy it retail, I’d consider AM5 such as the 7600 or the 7500f and see how much I could sell my AM4 setup for.
- If your building brand new please go with AM5 do not bother with AM4 anymore.
- If your upgrading from before Ryzen 5000 and it should be a decent uplift in games.
- If your building a second hand pc this could be an amazing PC as you can slap one into a cheap B350 with a bios update.
- Lastly if I need to save cash go with the 5700X3D, if I can splurge a bit for a new motherboard, cpu and ram go for an AM5 chip.
