With a very expensive graphics card market for both brand new and used cards it can be hard to find a deal. Its more likely that a second hand card will be a better choice right now and I managed to pick up this Gigabyte G1 Gaming 980ti for $380NZD (about $267USD @5/07/21). Unfortunately the graphics card is five years old and has temperature issues with the 980ti getting up to 95°C! In this video I am going to show you how I fixed this by changing the thermal paste and paste, with also a general clean on the graphics card. This video is not exactly a tutorial and is more about the steps I took and what to be cautious about when changing the thermal paste.
